As you probably know I wrote my first short children’s story titled “Clyde and I” (you can see it at a recent post of the same title) for my grandkids. I’m considering writing more, and possibly creating one or more books for children of bedtime-reading or early-read-on-your-own ages. This is a completely new endeavor for me and I’d appreciate input from parents or grandparents of children of that age, or whose children recently were of that age, or author’s of children’s books, or know someone who is any of those things, and I’d love to hear from you.
I’d also be happy to send the currently UN-illustrated short story/poem to you for your review and hopefully comments.
Speaking of book illustrations, I’m beginning to explore the idea of working with one or more illustrators on one or more young children’s book projects. If you or someone you know are might be interested in discussing such projects, please email me. I seek illustrators who can create whacky-looking colorful characters.
If I decide to create a children’s book, I may include a read-along/sing-along song with it with lyrics that follow the story.
In other news, two more non-children songs are about 1-2 weeks away from completion. Two of my more recent songs (“Nature’s Symphony” and “My Old Friend”) are being played on Spotify, Muve Music, and X-Box (Songs/Music?). Some of the earlier ones have more recently been sent out and may also have begun to be played by now, but I haven’t seen payments for them yet, so I don’t know whether they’re being played yet or not.
